Urinary Incontinence

Involuntary loss of urine is unfortunately too common in women, especially after childbearing. The two most common causes are an overactive bladder and bladder prolapse. Determining if one or both are present requires a full history of your symptoms and a physical exam. Sometimes a urodynamic study is also performed.
Treatment options vary according to your specific situation and may include medication, weight loss, and treatment of chronic cough, physical therapy and surgery.
